Because of impaired communication skills from dementia, this may be challenging, but there are some tips that can be considered in order to make the call or video chat as successful as possible.
It is important to note that the first few attempts at a phone call or video chat with someone with dementia may not be easy. However, over time, it will become less difficult to know what questions to ask or how best to engage with your loved one over the phone or video chat.
